I have always promoted self-reflection to the executives I’ve had the privilege to coach. In fact, journaling is integral to the learning process during the coaching process. “What worked? What didn’t work? Who have I impacted?” are some good questions to start with while self-reflecting. The ability to ask yourself questions to better understand your decisions, your relationships, and the lessons you learned is a sign that you value growth personally and professionally.

If you don’t journal or take time to self-reflect, Mining Your Leadership Story provides a framework and some great questions for you to start the process.
