When COVID first hit the US back in March 2020, many of the leaders and business owners I was working with were struggling to make sense of it all. And one of the things I helped them to focus on was self-care: the practice of taking care of themselves first in order to have the strength to support their employees who were struggling as well.
I encouraged them to take time out of their day to reenergize and stay grounded. One method a number of them incorporated into their day was the practice of gratitude. Personally, I have been practicing gratitude for over a year now and it has really helped during this very challenging year. This article by LaRaeQuy focuses on how important gratitude is in building resilience when life doesn’t go our way. You don’t have to be a leader or business owner to benefit from the practice of gratitude.
